Yes it occurred to me that perhaps I might want to clean up some of the language a little here on my site. I mean using the word, bullshit is one thing, I mean this is the no bullshit website after all. Yet I believe there are many times when I simply use profanity, or slang out of laziness to find better words.
Over the next few weeks, I am going to be adding some new content and cleaning up some of the old stuff… AHHH

I had once read that, “Profanity is a crutch for illiterate m#ther-f&ckers”. Which of course is an oxymoronic statement and said tongue in cheek.
But seriously, whenver I have been encouraged in any circumstance to be completely honest and to share feeling in an unedited basis, the use of profanity was never discouraged. Simply meaning… that in this grossly sick and complicated world, profanity often serves as meaningful descriptors of what we are feeling or thinking.
With that said, I suppose we could all strive for something better. Self-control, order, courtesy, and standards of conduct are all intended to improve our existences and interactions with each other.
I think it is a cyclical thing. Surely, standards of decency have gone up and down over the many years, centuries and millenium(s), (millenii?). I think we woudl be naive to assume that profanity is a new thing. Perhaps it is more prevelant in conversation now than perhaps 50 years ago, but who is to say this is not a pendulum swing in the opposite direction from what may have existed a few hundred years ago.
We just do not know for sure.
Anyway…. who is to say.
